Royal Enfield has announced the release of the revised 2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan. Euro-5 compliant, new colourways and some added bits and bobs, the small to middleweight adventure tourer is ready for some all new adventures.
The Himalayan has been an incredibly popular motorcycle for Royal Enfield – so popular that it is now the number one small to middleweight motorcycle in the world (between 250cc and 750cc). With nearly 2,000 units sold across Australia and New Zealand alone since launch, its popularity closer to home is also evident.
So what’s changed?
Whilst most of the changes to the revised Himalayan are minor, there have been some important updates. The most obvious one is Euro-5 compliance, achieved through small changes to the Himalayan’s exhaust and fueling – thankfully without impacting its performance.
There are also 6 colourways to choose from, with 3 all new options for the ANZ market including Pine Green, Mirage Silver and Granit Black.
Making its debut on the new Meteor 350, the 2021 Himalayan now comes standard with Royal Enfield’s Tripper Navigation. A turn-by-turn navigation module – not too dissimilar to the Beeline – Tripper displays real-time directions after pairing with a smart phone. A nifty feature that we’re bound to see more often across Royal Enfield’s lineup.
Other changes include improved seat comfort, updated aesthetics, a new windscreen, tank protection bars and upgraded carry rack. Switchable ABS and a new 3 year warranty and roadside assist – which includes pickup and transit up to 100km from your breakdown location – complete the revised package.
So when can I get my hands on one?
The revised 2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan is available in dealers now. Starting at $8,190 ride away, it’s adventure touring on a budget.
