Triumph to Enter MX and Enduro Segments

Triumph to Enter MX and Enduro Segments

Massive news with the beloved British brand Triumph announcing that development is well under way on a comprehensive range of all-new competition Motocross and Enduro motorcycles. Now whilst Triumph are certainly not strangers to the dirt – with their hugely popular Scrambler and Tiger ranges – this will be the first time the manufacturer has produced dedicated MX and Enduro bikes.

In what they’re calling a “landmark moment” for the brand, the all-new range will be accompanied by a factory race program, and a commitment to top-tier championship racing in both Motocross and Enduro series. This commitment has been strengthened with the announcement that both Ricky Carmichael and Ivan Cervantes have joined Triumph to assist with motorcycle development and establishment of the factory race team.

So when do we get to see the bikes?

Triumph have stated that, “An announcement of the timetable for the launch and reveal of the motorcycles as well as the racing program and the full story on the product advantages the new MX and Enduro offer will follow in the coming months.” If you’re like us, this is going to be an agonising few months to wait.

It’s a great move from Triumph to play into a market currently dominated by major rivals KTM, Honda and Yamaha. It’s anyone’s guess as to what engine or engines they’ll use across the range, but with a solid collection of donks to choose from, the clever folk at Triumph are bound to find something competitive.

Nick Bloor, CEO Triumph Motorcycles:

“Today’s announcement marks the beginning of a new chapter for the brand, which everyone at Triumph is incredibly excited to be part of. We are 100 per cent committed to making a long-lasting impact in this highly competitive and demanding world, with a single-minded ambition to deliver a winning motorcycle line-up for a whole new generation of riders.”

Exciting times ahead indeed. If you’re interested, stay tuned to motolanemc.com for more information as soon as it comes to hand.
